A Spin-Off company of the University of Turin, supported by several public and private bodies of the Verbano-Cusio-Ossola Province, NISLabVCO is a laboratory providing research and measurement services to the industry. The Laboratory is operated by the privately operated company Nanoireservice SCpA.

The NIS Centre offers research cooperation and advanced measurement services to the industry and to other research institutions, also on a commercial basis. Such services are provided in all the areas of nanotechnology and materials science described in the “Research” section. The scope of collaborations and services offered is broad, ranging from experimental research programs to scientific support to technical management:

1. Long term research collaborations on emerging and future technologies
2. Short term research on innovative technologies already close to market exploitation
3. Scientific support to product and process development
4. State of the art surveys (scientific literature and patents),
5. feasibility evaluation,
6. failure analysis,
7. process problem solving
8. measurements on advanced and non-standard instruments

Il Centro NIS offre, anche su base commerciale, servizi di ricerca e di misura avanzata, rivolti alle aziende e ai centri di ricerca. Le aree di intervento del Centro e le strumentazioni disponibili sono tutte quelle descritte alla sezione “Research” di questo documento. Le tipologie di servizi sono assi diversi, e spaziano dai veri e propri programmi di ricerca sperimentale, alle consulenze a supporto scientifico del management tecnologico. Citiamo ad esempio:

1. Programmi di ricerca di lungo periodo su tecnologie emergenti o future
2. Programmi di ricerca a breve termine su tecnologie mature
3. Supporto scientifico allo sviluppo di prodotti e processi
4. Analisi dello stato dell’arte in campo tecnologico (letteratura scientifica e brevettuale)
5. Studi di fattibilità
6. Failure analysis
7. Assistenza nello studio di problemi di processo e di qualità
8. Servizi di misura con strumentazioni avanzate e non standardizzate.
